About Us

Created in October 2015 by the GOR, ATL is the holding company for Rwanda’s air transport products and related services with the purpose of elevating the position of Rwanda as a regional aviation hub.

ATL is a start-up holding company with an assigned portfolio of 3 operational (RwandAir, RAC, Akagera) and 2 non-operational businesses (RTE and RLL).

The 5 subsidiaries collectively form the basis to deliver the air transport value chain through air transport, airport management, aviation training, tourism products and logistics / cargo.

ATL is mandated with elevating the position of Rwanda as a regional aviation hub but also tasked to oversee and coordinate its subsidiaries to ensure that its defined objectives are achieved optimally.

Growth - ATL is dedicated to growing Rwanda’s aviation system. Decisions for growth are made in the context of finite resources and thus trade off growth with cost.

Value - At ATL decisions are made in the view of creating shareholder value through the optimization of the collective performance of our operating companies.

Discipline - Our business decisions are disciplined and follow agreed best practice, permeating every Group entity. Agreed best practice is put in place for pursuit and evaluation of performance in order to deliver a disciplined organization that can be accountable for its decisions and performance irrespective at what level across organizations.

Empowerment - The Group’s people are the key to our success. We are committed to an environment of empowerment with transparent decision-making at every level and capacity-building at its core.
